Here We Are: Goofus Theatre x Manchester Camerata
Manchester Camerata Brings a Free Performance to Salford Crescent Hospital with Goofus Theatre, as part of our Here We Are Festival
This initiative brings exceptional live music to all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, reinforcing our commitment to making world-class music accessible to everyone in the community.
Join us for a unique performance in collaboration with Goofus Theatre, an acclaimed touring theatre company renowned for creating original work through mask, puppetry, clowning, music and play. Their imaginative, largely non-verbal performances are designed to connect with audiences where theatre isn’t always easily accessible, creating experiences that are playful, moving and full of wonder.
Together with a Manchester Camerata wind quintet, this special performance will combine live chamber music with Goofus Theatre’s distinctive visual storytelling, offering audiences of all ages an engaging and uplifting experience.
Founded in 2012, Goofus Theatre are a not-for-profit community interest company based at Spinners Mill in Leigh. Their work is mischievous, funny, surreal, fantastical and dreamlike, celebrating the power of imagination and shared creativity.
This event is a testament to the vibrant arts scene in Greater Manchester and our dedication to bringing inspiring live performances into communities across the region.
There will be a public performance at 1.30 pm in the lobby, and then a closed performance in the dementia ward.
No ticket required.
