Messiah – Sheffield International Concert Season

The Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus makes its first appearance this season with a long-awaited performance of Handel’s classic oratorio, Messiah. They join Manchester Camerata, a cast of star soloists and Laurence Cummings, a conductor that “matches Handel’s energy and invention with unmistakable lyricism, generosity and dignity” (The Guardian). Handel’s much-loved work has become a treasured part of the festive season for audiences of all ages. From the uplifting choruses to the tender arias, it tells a universal story of hope, reflection and elation through music that speaks directly to your heart.
