Here We Are: Sharing a Shell at Manchester Museum
Manchester Camerata Brings a Free Family Performance to Manchester Museum with Julia Donaldson’s Sharing a Shell
This free performance is part of our Here We Are festival, bringing live music to all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester and reinforcing our commitment to making world-class music accessible to all.
Join us for a magical family-friendly performance featuring Julia Donaldson’s much-loved story Sharing a Shell, presented by our Principal Horn, Naomi Atherton. For this special show, our wind quintet will bring the story to life, combining live performance, storytelling and imagination to create an engaging experience for audiences of all ages.
Set against the fascinating backdrop of Manchester Museum’s ‘Living Worlds’ gallery, surrounded by incredible animal specimens, fossils and objects from the natural world, this performance is the perfect setting to immerse yourself in the story’s seaside adventure.
Sharing a Shell offers a welcoming introduction to the world of classical music in a relaxed and engaging setting. The museum is also organising craft-based activities to accompany this performance.
No ticket required.
