Manchester Camerata takes its name from the Florentine Camerata, 16th century Italian radicals who questioned, challenged and celebrated what the arts and an orchestra can do.
Following our 50th anniversary, we are inviting supporters to join us in creating Camerata50 with a minimum level of commitment of £50 per month, £600 a year (plus gift aid where eligible).
Building to 50 members, and currently already with a founding membership of 25, the funding created by Camerata50 will help provide:
- Match funding for the next generation of talented young musicians through our Camerata360 Ruth Sutton Fellows, providing recent northern graduates with a stipend and training opportunities in their first year as professional musicians.
- Musical innovation through new commissions, providing funding to support two new commissions each year, creating a powerful legacy in amplifying the impact of diverse, innovative talent.
- Joy and relief for people living with dementia and their families and carers: match funding for 2 Music Cafes in Gorton and Wigan each year, reaching up to 60 people weekly.
Please sign up below for a monthly direct debit of £50 or more. Thank you.
