Hearing Voices

Fri 5 April 2024, 7:30pm,
The Stoller Hall

Internal voices fill our mind – where do they come from? Join us for a powerful and moving experience calling on voices from the past and present.

Hearing Voices explores the work and memory of those before us, told dramatically by three powerful voices. Manchester Camerata – Kantos Chamber Choir and Karen Cargill.

From Purcell to Part, with Britten’s Phaedra as a centrepiece, the evening will tell the story of obsession, forbidden love and death.

Scottish mezzo-soprano Karen Cargill is one of the most renowned singers of her generation. Winner of the 2002 Kathleen Ferrier Award, Karen has gone on to be nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Operatic Recording as part of the Metropolitan Opera’s recording of Dialogues des Carmélites.

Tickets from £15 – £25 + Booking fee.

Best seats in the house are available at £10 for under 30s (limited availability), £3 for Gorton Residents, £5 for Students + Booking fee.
