Webster Primary School – The Vikings

Bringing history to life!

“[The pupils] love it. A lot of them who are normally quite shy really come out of their shells and I’ve seen a performer in them over the last few days. It’s really nice to see them grow in confidence and being interested in music when they’ve not always shown a great deal of interest in it before!”  Y5 teacher, Webster Primary School

We’ve been lucky enough to work with the students at Webster Primary School in central Manchester for quite a while now, helping to embed creative music-making into daily school life and across different subjects.

Recently, our team worked alongside three Year 5 classes to bring to life the history of the Vikings through music.

With our professional Camerata musicians and composer, as well as a theatre-maker, the students wrote all their own lyrics and songs, and then performed their own tales about the Vikings.

A massive thanks to all at Webster Primary School, and a huge well done to all the students we worked with. We can’t wait to see what you’re going to create with us next term!
