From the Staffordshire Moorlands, where she started playing the violin at the age of six, Sarah has spent most of her musical life in Manchester.  She studied at Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music before joining Manchester Camerata. She has played with numerous other orchestras and pop artists. 

Sarah currently plays regularly with the Hallé Orchestra and has performed at many BBC proms at the Royal Albert Hall as well as the inaugural BBC Proms in Japan with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Recent pop work includes Diana Ross national tour, The Pet Shop Boys MTV Europe awards and Johnny Marr Aviva studios launch. She has performed on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury with Manchester Camerata for Hacienda Classical and played for a wide range of artists from Patrick Moore to Michael Bublé. 

As well as performing, Sarah has over 30 years experience of violin teaching in both one to one and group settings. She has been involved with education projects around the UK for Manchester Camerata, Northern Chamber Orchestra and Sistema England as well as teaching in many schools and colleges and privately from her home in Alton.
