Rosemary Attree

Violin

Rosemary grew up in Northumberland, and started the violin in group lessons in first school. She went on to study at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, achieving a First Class undergraduate degree and Masters with Distinction.

Rosemary joined the Hallé Orchestra in 2013 and has recently been appointed Second Violin No.2. She joined Manchester Camerata in 2023, and enjoys the variety of repertoire in symphonic and chamber concerts, also freelancing regularly with Royal Northern Sinfonia and Manchester Collective.

When not playing the violin, Rosemary enjoys walking her dog Ruby in the hills of West Yorkshire, drinking delicious coffee and spending time with her partner and daughter.

We believe in the power of music to change lives.
