Director’s Circle

At the heart of Manchester Camerata is the creative risk-taking ethos of our Music Director, Gábor.

His vision for an orchestra that presents works with a freshness, energy and improvisatory immediacy manifests itself in all our work but especially in our flagship cycle of Mozart piano concertos with Jean-Efflam Bavouzet; “Mozart, Made in Manchester”. The piano cycle culminated in autumn 2024; with horn concerti planned in summer 2024, followed by Mozart’s late symphonies and concert arias with soprano Louise Elder, 2025-2027.

In Gábor’s words, the exceptional depth of emotional connection that our music creates for our audiences, communities and musicians is “spiritual medicine”. As a chamber musician, Gábor is especially committed to supporting and mentoring younger players who are the rising and future stars.

We invite supporters who wish to make an annual or multi-year donation of £20,000 per annum to get in touch. Please contact
