The Creative Producer role is an exciting opportunity created as part of a new partnership between The University of Manchester and Manchester Camerata, one of the UK’s most adventurous orchestras.

The Creative Producer will work 75% as part of the Manchester Camerata team, delivering the orchestra’s exhilarating programme of classical and cross-genre music.

25% of the role will represent dedicated research time, to undertake knowledge exchange between the Manchester Camerata and The University of Manchester, to explore and develop the potential for partnership research projects.

The University of Manchester is investing £3.3m in a new and exciting project, Creative Manchester, which is located in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, and will help to support the University’s ambitious strategic vision in the arts and cultural and creative industries locally, nationally and internationally.

Creative Manchester demonstrates the University’s recognition of the importance of its contribution to the creative and cultural sector, and will enable us to pursue an ambitious research agenda and teach the very best students with the brightest talent. It will also support a series of roles designed to develop collaborative partnerships to encourage creative-sector growth. It provides a framework to develop further our partnerships and collaborations with business and cultural organisations, and to educate future generations to work in the ever-growing creative industries.

The post holder will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, along with proven experience of applied and academic research, knowledge and understanding of the orchestral sector.

This post is and is full-time and is fixed term until end December 2021.
